Woodland Beauties {Christine Kay, Chicago Children’s Photographer}

This year we decided to do our annual photo shoots with the kids in Canada, on our summer vacation. When we got here and saw all the incredible wildflowers, I knew I had to incorporate them into the girls’ session somehow. Yesterday afternoon, the girls and I went for a walk and they got to choose their favorite flowers for their own flower crowns. I wasn’t even sure I could make one (first-timer!) but you know what?! They are not that hard! I’m really happy with how they turned out and I adore the whimsy they brought to the photoshoot! There’s just something magical about a flower crown . . . I don’t think my girls have ever felt so pretty. And their images show it!

We found a little patch of wilderness perfection for our shoot just across the street from the cottage where we are staying. It was pretty much the perfect afternoon yesterday . . . and I’m so thankful for my beautiful, sweet girls. (And yes, I’ve been editing non-stop since our shoot . . .haha!)
